Bar Harbor
From cvirtue:

Ground Rules:
The first player of this "game" starts with the topic "5 Guilty Pleasures" and people who get tagged need to write an LJ entry about their 5 Guilty Pleasures as well as state this rule. In the end, you need to choose the next 5 people to be tagged and list their names.

1. Playing computer games until dawn.
2. Grapeheads candy (formerly known a "Alexander the Grape").
3. Strongly-flavored chips (Doritos, etc.)

Hmmmm... This is hard. I don't really *do* guilt very much. I generally either change my behavior, or accept it.

4. Doctor Who
5. Certain kinds of porn (details available if you really want to know...)

Ah, but I don't play tag.

However, for guilty pleasures:

1. Playing computer games until dawn.
2. Old Battlestar Galactica.
3. Drinking a little too much and letting Carin drive me home.
4. Watching Carin turn off the light before we go to sleep (she kinda has to stretch upwards... very attractively.
5. Being a gamer (a guilty pleasure in some professional circles I run in).

1. Playing solitaire (game varies over time; currently spider 2 suits) on the computer.
2. My new 50-inch TV!
3. Handgun target shooting
4. Buying more knives
5. Regular afternoon naps

Ah -- if you're a two-suit Spider addict, you should check out the game Grounds for Divorce. Far as I know, it was invented as part of the Spider Wizard engine, and has spread a bit since then.

It's a high-information variant of Spider -- all of the cards are visible, and one or two of the rules are slightly relaxed. This makes it *much* more winnable, while still being a diverting challenge. I find that I spend much of my brainpower figuring out whether I'm willing to accept the initial setup -- once committed, I can win about 80% of the time. (More if I'm being careful and don't do anything stupid.)
